How we are handling COVID-19

Thank you for entrusting The Blackwell Law Group, LLC with your legal matter. As you may have seen on the news and social media, our Courthouses are closed through at least April 14th, 2020 by Judicial Emergency Order issued by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court as well as the Chief Judges of all counties in the State.

How are we handling this closure?

WE ARE WORKING and the office hours will remain the same, which are Monday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm and Friday from 9am to 3pm. When calling the office, please leave a detailed voice message. Phone calls will still be returned between the hours of 11am and 3pm in the order of priority.

We can still file documents in Court. Georgia Courts have mandatory e-filing. Some clerks’ offices remain open and are processing filings and cases.

As for closures and other restrictions, here is the bad news:

The ONLY domestic cases that are being heard in some courts are domestic violence cases (TPOs).

We will be adhering to all State, County and City Orders. As a result, the physical office location is closed to make sure that we do not add to the potential spread of the virus. We will be doing all meetings via online conferencing and phone calls.

Thank you for your continued trust in us. We appreciate each of you.
